CORNucopia of Events
Yesterday Robert and Tom from Spiga Restaurant entertained customers’ tastebuds with a delicious cold panzanella/gazpacho soup hybrid. Head Chef Robert referrs to it as “Spiga’s Tuscan-Style Chilled Tomato Soup… Panzanella meets Gazpacho”.
The end result was fantastic – a fresh chilled treat to enjoy! The crowd was shocked to learn that there wasn’t a drop of cream in the soup, but it was thickened with bread instead!
Robert was generous enough to stay for about two hours sampling out each batch – and he even prepared it three separate times to show each new crowd how to make this palate pleaser. We’re lucky enough to have a copy of the recipe which you can find here.

We have our annual Corn Festival where you can sample our delicious fresh corn under our tent!
