Side Effects Include Watering of the Mouth

July 20, 2011
My goodness, long time no blog. Time to fill you in!

summer tomato and corn pizza on the grill - YUM!

This past Saturday Stone Hearth Pizza’s Cooking Demo proved to be incredibly tasty. They made an assortment of summer tomato and corn pizzas using our Homegrown Corn and occasionally adding fresh spinach, peas, mozzarella and goat cheese as toppings. They also made a delicious light salad comprised of fresh Volante Farms lettuce, radishes, and beans tossed in a subtle vinaigrette.

Sweet crumbly T'ART with Homegrown Blueberries - already half eaten!

Linda from T’ART also made an appearance and sampled out her tasty desserts – you can purchase them at the farm for $5.99 – all you have to add is butter, eggs and our fresh fruit! These little packages have been flying off our shelves – it’s a very popular item with our customers AND employees alike!

THIS SATURDAY we have TWO events!
FIRST, At 11am Not Your Average Joe’s of Needham will be here to create a delicious summer zucchini pasta dish using our homegrown produce.
They will be featuring our fresh-picked veggies this summer so be sure to check their menu out.
THEN, At 2pm Dom himself from Dom’s Marinated Meats will be here again to sample out his delicious marinated steak tips, turkey tips, chicken and sausage! It was such a success when we had them here on Saturday July 9th, so we decided to do it again! He will start grilling at 2pm and keep grilling until he runs out. Trust me, if you missed this event on the 9th you’re going to want to make it to this one. Your taste buds will thank you!!!

Now for an update from our lovely greenhouse…

Annual Fountain Grasses are just the thing for some nice colorful texture. Fireworks is the red in the foreground and Rubrum is the purple behind it.

A new assortment of mixed hangers - beautiful!
