New this week…

June 29, 2009
We pick our short, little round pickles every other day. Cukes do not grow quite as fast as their Summer Squash cousins, which we pick daily.

We are new to Kale growing, so if you aren't getting it the way you want let us know. Kale is rich in vitamins and iron, one of the healthiest out there, give it a shot!

Our green cabbage is very quick to have headed up so early, red and savoy are on the way still.

Broccoli is heading up, where the rain hasn't dmaged it too much, and will trickle in this week , with plenty expected after the holiday weekend.

This week is looking great. It is warming up, only raining off and on, and we are looking forward to a nice couple of days off. So here is a reminder: we won’t be open over the weekend, July 4th and 5th, so shop early this week!. It could pay off, as all these great new foods are starting to roll in. We are expecting peas to last until the weekend as well, and with luck strawberries.

As I said the other day, wax and romano beans are very close. Lettuce is fresh and homegrown again as well, sorry for the gap, but that happens from time to time you know. Carrots, Beets, Chard, and Scallions are all in stock regularly, and our Parsley is beautiful right now.

SALE!

Don’t forget, all hanging baskets are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! Take advantage of June’s crummy weather, you deserve it! All shrubs and roses are 20% off now as well, plus deep discounts on nearly all annuals and perennials. We know you’ve got a cookout planned for this weekend, don’t forget to decorate!
