A Great Weekend for Gardening!

April 24, 2009

As Dave and Ryan have illustrated, spring is well on its way! We have been getting deliveries all week to stock up for this beautiful weekend! The weather should be perfect for some quality time in your garden.

New This Week!

New This Week!

New this week: beautiful mixed perennial pots, perfect for your patio or deck! They’re cold tolerant, so you don’t need to worry if the temperature dips at night!

Also, Creeping Ground Phlox are in! We have an assortment of white, pink, lilac, and some mixed colors for $4.99 a pot! They sell fast, so come in and pick yours up today.

As for this Saturday, the rumors are true! Dave Becker, head chef and owner of Sweet Basil in Needham Square will be coming down to the farm to assist me in my “Garden to Grill” workshop at 10am. We’ll show you how easy it is to grow your own low-maintenance patio vegetables, and how a simple recipe can turn your homegrown veggies into a delicious grilled dish. I’ll kick it off by talking a little bit about the gardening aspect, and he’ll follow up with the tasty portion of the program: grilling some veggies for everyone to sample!

So, bring your tastebuds and a hungry stomach, and we’ll see you down at the farm at 10am!

Also, keep in mind that we’ll have soil testing going on all day, from 10am-3pm, limit two samples per customer.

Enjoy this weekend – it’s going to be a gorgeous one!
